ADULT SOCCER LEAGUE
Summer 2024 Adult Soccer league registration is March 11 - April 1, 2024
Don't have team but you want to Play? Add yourself to the free agent list (Discussion Board) HERE and if a team needs an extra player(s) the Team Manager will contact you.
The Community Recreation Division offers 7 vs. 7and 11 vs. 11 adult leagues for men, women and coed teams. The leagues are divided into divisions based on skill levels with games played at Airport Park (3201 Airport Ave.), Monday – Friday from 7:00 pm –10:45 pm; Saturday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm; and Sunday 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Playing a non roster player will result in a forfeit
If verified that during a game that a team has used a player not listed on its team roster, a forfeit will be declared.
Seasons
Leagues take place in the spring, summer and fall - Evenings only
- 14 week leagues play on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Registration Information
Registration is taken on a priority basis. Teams interested in registering must complete a soccer team registration form and return it along with registration and Officials Fees to the Community Sports Office, 1401 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica. Returning Teams:
- Fill out team registration form including team roster.
- Select the correct league fee for team and fill out check (Payable to the City of Santa Monica), money order or credit card for the correct amount.
- Have players fill out and sign the player liability form.
- Turn in forfeit bond with check made out to SMASL Management, all completed liability forms and team registration form with check, money order or credit card.
$120 forfeit bond for 7vs7 and $440 forfeit bond for 11vs11. This bond will be returned at the end of the season if your team does not forfeit.
New Teams:
- Fill out team registration form including team roster.

Player Registration and Release of Liability forms must be on file with the City of Santa Monica.
League Registration Fees
Weekday evenings, 14 week season, 7 vs. 7 players. Maximum of 14 players on each team.
- $708.00 At least 60% players must be residents to be considered a priority one (1) team.
- $796.95 At least 60% players must be residents and/or people who work in Santa Monica to be considered a priority two (2) team.
- $885.50 All other teams are considered priority three (3) teams.
Saturday evenings, 14 week season, 7 vs. 7 players. Maximum of 14 players on each team.
- $708.00 At least 60% players must be residents to be considered a priority one (1) team.
- $796.95 At least 60% players must be residents and/or people who work in Santa Monica to be considered a priority two (2) team.
- $885.50 All other teams are considered priority three (3) teams.
Sunday evenings, 14 week season, 11 vs. 11 players. Maximum of 14 players on each team.
- $1380.00 At least 60% players must be residents to be considered a priority one (1) team.
- $1560.00 At least 60% players must be residents and/or people who work in Santa Monica to be considered a priority two (2) team.
- $1725.00 All other teams are considered priority three (3) teams.
Proof of Santa Monica Residency
For proof of Santa Monica Residency, each player on the team MUST provide a VALID California Driver License or California ID with a Santa Monica address along with the following: a CURRENT dated copy of a utility bill either a: phone (land-line phone, electricity or gas bill. The address on the California Driver License or California ID should match the address on the utility bill. Santa Monica residency and work proof is required for every new registration season regardless if you have provided it in a previous season or not.
Separate Payment Bond
Payment made out to SMASL Management. $120 forfeit bond for 7vs7 and $440 forfeit bond for 11vs11. This bond will be returned at the end of the season if your team does not forfeit.
Referee fees
Referee fees of $30 per team per game for 7 vs. 7 and $110 per team per game for 11 vs. 11 are payable to the referee each week.
Player ID
A City issued photo ID card (Activity Passport) is required for all players. Players MUST have City issued photo ID card (Activity Passport) present at game time or they will not be allowed to participate. Activity Passport photos are taken at the Community Sports Office at Memorial Park 1401 Olympic Blvd.
